ABOUT ATTORNEY RACHAEL ARDANUY

You’re in the right place. Finally.

You’ve taken the leap to build something of your own — a business fueled by passion, purpose, and grit.

No one warned you just how hard it would be to run that business while untangling regulations, contracts, taxes, compliance, financing, property issues, licenses, staff, customer needs…and everything in between.

Imagine if you could run your business with ease amidst all the confusion out there. You would make operating decisions with confidence, get accurate answers to your burning questions, grow your business at the pace it deserves, and sell it for top dollar when you are ready to exit — not to mention save hundreds of headaches and thousands of dollars in the process.

The truth is: Small and independent businesses face challenges that big corporations never have to think about. But they deserve the same caliber of counsel, strategy, and support.

That’s where I come in.

My legal entrepreneurial journey.

My legal career began in advocacy. I spent nearly a decade pushing for marijuana reform before Colorado passed Amendment 64 in 2012 — the same year I became licensed to practice law. I built my practice during the earliest days of legalized cannabis, when the rules were being written in real time and every business was operating in uncharted territory.

Those early years taught me how to navigate complexity, regulatory unknowns, government agencies, financial constraints, and business-building under pressure.  It was never just about cannabis — it was about supporting entrepreneurs working at the edge of innovation.

Over time, one thing became clear:

The backbone of our communities is small, locally-owned business.
Not just cannabis. Not just one industry.

All the makers, growers, service providers, creators, and problem-solvers who keep our communities alive.

After a decade of running my own practice, I see the work differently now.

My passion still includes cannabis — deeply.

But my mission is broader:

To support the independent business owners who are building strong, resilient local economies.

Why This Matters

As a business owner myself, I understand the emotional and financial weight of what you’re doing. I’ve had to learn how to operate in highly regulated environments, how to adapt, how to rebuild, how to lead through uncertainty. I know what it takes to sustain a business for the long haul.

My role isn’t simply to draft documents or answer one-off legal questions. My role is to:

Help you understand your options

Protect your business and assets

Make confident, strategic decisions

And move forward without fear of what you “don’t know”

There is no one-size-fits-all business.
There shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all legal advice.

Together, we are shaping the future of business and community.
